If you could describe your ideal work place, how would you?  Not in a novel, as terse as possible.  For me it's 1 + 1 = 3.  Simple isn't it?  If you think it's math, you'd be, well, right and wrong.....WTF you might say?  Let me explain.

I was talking with a friend of mine tonight (thanks SG) and something just POPPED into my head which I had forgotten for a loooooong time. :<  I spontaneously remembered a way I used to describe a place I loved to work at once.  It's where you have the complete trust in being able to raise new ideas without judgement (at least initially), without being negated to death and told why it won't work.  A warm, positive environment where new ideas could be bantered around.  Do you work at such a place?

New ideas are like hockey players, there are THOUSANDS of'em and only a handful make it to the pros but that doesn't devalue any of the ones that don't make it to the pros.  Most of them will certainly make something of themselves and a lof of them will even support go on to do bigger and better things, just not in the ice rink.  What I'm getting at is, new ideas are just that, something new to talk about to help brainstorm for new and improved ideas.

This is the basis for 1 + 1 =3.  It's where an idea from one person sprouts an idea from another person, after talking/brainstorming/dialoging, whatever, in talking through both ideas, neither one on their own stands a chance of succeeding, grows a new, more ginormous (huh! it's actually a word) idea that is SO much more magnificant than either of the original ideas from which spawned it!  1 + 1 = 3!  That's the type of place I would like to work!
