I like reading Top 10 lists, and at this time of year, they're AAAAAALLLLLL over the place!  Well, I've had a hankering to write this blog for a while now, but always felt self conscious about it.  Well no more! 

First off, let me say, YES, I'm very happy with my current position, team mates, boss, president, direction and company!  So why this post?  Cause over the course of my career, I've been lucky to have some GREAT jobs, and not so lucky to have some, well, not so good jobs.  I've got a few friend's who are currently experiencing some "energy sucking and bleak career environment challenges."  (How's that for being politically correct?)  In talking with them, I can't help but reflect on my own life experiences.  SO!  I thought I would share some of my them, and try to add a bit of humour to a potentially explosive and frustrating experience. 

If you're wondering, yes, throughout my working life, from pumping gas at 13 to the present day, these are true stories (albeit sometimes a bit cryptic to protect the innocent or guilty LOL).  Special thanks to SG, SB, CW, OH, DS, PB, DH and MH, special people who helped to make the job into a hobby (and who are not on this list).  For everyone else, I hope you can see the humour, and if a few of these hit a little TOO close to home, please take comfort in knowing you're not alone!

So, with further adieu, here's my list of Top 10 Signs You've Had It With Your Current Job.

	1. It's 8:05, you're waking up late, don't care, and repeat to yourself all the way into the office..."only 7.5 hours to go....only 7.5 hours to go.....only 7.5.....7 if I can work in two 15m breaks."
	2. As you drive into the company parking lot, you feel a titanic wave of energy sucking anxiety that feels like "OH CRAP, what's gonna blow up on me today?"
	3. Nobody eats together at lunch, NOBODY!
	4. You take TWO Magazines or your iPhone to the washroom (think about it..........THEEEERE ya go!  yup I went there, DOH!).
	5. You consider your boss' sicks days, your vacation days!  YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
	6. You are even angrier AFTER your boss leaves your cubicle than when he/she came in!!!!!!!!  GGGRRRRRRRR
	7. You complain about being on old projects but have NO energy to learn something new to get OFF those projects.
	8. It's been three months since your boss asked you about [insert ANYTHING about your personal life here].
	9. You get put onto a project team of one, AND YOU'RE HAPPY ABOUT IT! YAHOO!
	10. And lastly, no matter what you're working on, you minimize everything on your computer when your boss comes around!
Bonus Ones
	* You know EXACTLY what time it is, at ANY time of the day!
	* Your friend's have stopped asking you "How are things going at work?"

So, there you go.  I hope you saw a bit of fun in this.  Maybe, on a bad day, you've experienced one (or more?) of these, but I truely hope you're not experiencing ALL of them at once!  If you are......Oh man, I really feel for ya!
