I want to humbly thank the ODNC for receiving two awards for last year, please read on for more information.

In 2009 I was again very lucky to recieve of two awards from the ODNC, one for Study Group Leadership and one for Outstanding Member.  I feel honoured to have worked throughout the last year with great mentors as Orest Hirniak, Charlie Wiebe, and many other great contributors (too many to list here but just look to any ODNC event, or Ottawa Code Camp volunteer list).  I have and continue to learn from you (and when I get too high on my horses you gently pull me back to earth, thank you.).

If you're wondering why am I posting this now and not after the end of year parfty when these were awarded, that's a good question.  Unfortunately with my family commitments, I wasn't able to make it out to the awards night.  Sadly I missed a great party but I was needed at home where I was glad to spend with my girls.

The ODNC is a tight knit community, but is always looking for people to help out, fresh blood and new ideas!  Not all the ideas are mainstream, and not always popular, but they are always discussed pationately and with respect to learning!  I look forward to continuing this tradition with you!  If you're at the next meeting, please say hi and introduce yourself and tell me what you think of C#, Java, EJBs, EF, Windows 7 and Linux (well, ok, I'm joking about Java, EJBs and Linux, but I respect your OSs LOL).
