A sign of things to come?

Sign of costs changing on MarkertplaceThis week I poked around on the Microsoft Marketplace website and noticed something VERY interesting.  Is this a sign that things are changing?

Sign of costs changing on MarkertplaceThis week, I thought I would try to sign up on the Developer site for the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.  The last time I look into this, the fee was $99 (Feb 11, 2010).  Low and behold, to my ASTONISHMENT, the fee this week was raised to $120.  Ok, besides the initial hiccup I had with the increase in fees, I started to ask myself....hhhhhmmmm is Microsoft getting SOMETHING ready for next week's MIX????  Things to make you go hmmmmmm......... LOL

The other interesting thing I noticed was also very Apple-like, was the requirement on the second screen to indicate if you're doing mobile deveopment for a business or an individual.

Second Screen

My guess is, the Microsoft WP7 team is trying to get all their ducks lined up in a row, so come Monday's deluge of WP7 announements, the Marketplace will be updated and ready for action (or so I hope!).

I was looking all week for other people's blogs to see if they saw this or not and nothing.  Am I the only one and maybe this is one Microsoft secret people are keeping?  LOL haha  Now it's time to go grab a coffee and get coding!
