Am I the only one seeing drawing weirdness from Visual Studio 2012?

Are you using VS2012?  Are you seeing some drawing weirdness like this?image

We started using the newest version of Visual Studio 2012 a few weeks back.  Now, for you regular readers (all three of you haha), you know I’m a HUGE, GIGANTIC Microsoft supporter!   hhhmmm Ok, GIGANTIC is a bit understated.  If you’re new to this blog…….ya, I’m pretty sure my friends would be shaking their heads going “uh oh, don’t get Peter started on Microsoft now!”  DOH!

So it pains me to ask this question so publicly, but I would like to know if you are experiencing this as well with VS11?

off, I’m seeing some funky screen re-drawing issues.  Just like the images below.  Don’t quite see it yet?  The first one has the cool new window borders, well, blacked out.

Next, it seems like Windows hasn’t caught up with the redrawing yet, and that VS hasn’t let it catch up.  Just seems weird to me.  I’m guessing, and I don’t know, just guessing, that the new XAML drawing surfaces have something to do with it.  (And before you ask/tell, yes, I DO have the latest vid drivers for my box).  This one is odd cause I USUALLY just get a small black square about the size of the mouse right in the middle of the screen where the mouse pointer currently is.  Ya, odd I know.

Anyways, like I said above, I would LOVE to know if you’re also seeing weird drawing issues with VS11/Visual Studio 2012?  While you’re thinking about that, it’s time to grab a coffee and get coding!

Yes, I've seen many drawing issues with VS 2012. It's totally B&W and full with ugly icons. Some people say MS did it deliberately. I can't believe it. There is no chance someone could think it looks good. It's probably a rendering issue.

Hi Amiram! You're seeing black & white? Yikes! Ok, THATS even harder to take than my little black box. Does it eventually change back to colour (well, as little colour as it is haha)? I have to admit, I don't mind the "new" look so much, it's ok, i'm not jumping up'n'down for joy, but I'm not complaining about that neither (yes, I'm still on the fence deciding LOL).

Thank you Amiram for reading AND commenting! I appreciate it! I hope I can give you more reasons to come back and read more. Have a good day and end of week!

There is something wrong with your graphics. That should be a fade out blue or purple drop shadow

Hi Gerdi, yes, that's what I thought as well, about the colours I mean. I'm using VS2012 more at home in the coming weeks, so I hope to compare graphics display and in a better position to compare vid cards/display graphics. More soon. Thanks Gerdi for commenting!
